Parisians Aim To Defy Terrorists By Refusing To Stay Inside

Terrorists carried out coordinated attacks last week on Paris, France, killing 129 people and injuring hundreds more. The terrorists hoped to strike fear into regular people and disrupt everyday life. But many Parisians are making a point of not letting that happen. Many museums and other institutions reopened this week. Meanwhile, a social media movement encouraged people to get out of the house and support their local restaurants and other businesses. Millions of tourists visit Paris each year, and locals want to show them that it’s still a safe and vibrant city.
