Adele’s ‘Hello’ Breaks Download Record

British singer Adele came back from a three-year break with a song called “Hello.” Fans responded by downloading more than 1.1 million copies of the song in its first week, easily setting a record for first-week song sales. The previous record was held by Flo Rida. He charted 636,000 downloads in a week for the song “Right Round” in 2009. “Hello” also debuted in the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Hello” is the first single off Adele’s upcoming album 25.
