Raiders Stop Manning, But Fall Short In Loss

The Oakland Raiders were able to stop Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos offense. But they couldn’t stop themselves from making too many mistakes. The Broncos were able to hold on for a 16–10 win over their longtime rivals. The Raiders intercepted Manning twice and held Denver’s offense to three field goals. Trailing 9–7 late, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr drove his team to the Broncos’ 31. But Chris Harris Jr. intercepted Carr’s pass and returned it 74 yards for a touchdown. Kicker Sebastian Janikowski also missed two field goals, one of which was blocked. He made one late in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to pull off the upset.
