In the early 1900s many scientists tested raccoons’ intelligence; however, this eventually stopped since raccoons were smart enough to escape from the research labs. Today, one raccoon is proving to everyone just how smart these wild animals are. Melanie is a 4-year-old raccoon who has learned more than 100 different behaviors from her owner, Kimberly Unger. These behaviors include clapping, dancing, and riding a bike.
