This summer, Washington state’s largest wildfire decimated hundreds of homes. Even now that the fire is over, tourists are cancelling their reservations as if the whole of north-central Washington burned down. In fact, many forests and trails remain healthy and green. The area’s economy is suffering because tourists are staying away.
