Asian carp are threatening to invade Lake Michigan. While an old electric barrier keeps fish from entering the lake, it does not deter the Asian carp’s eggs, which drift with the water’s current. The Army Corps of Engineers is planning a new barrier that would stop even the eggs from drifting into Lake Michigan. Read more about the barrier plan here.
