In 2015, a diver discovered tree trunks and branches in the North Sea off the coast of England. Many scientists believe that these are the remains of an ancient forest that disappeared under the sea more than 6,000 years ago. Some researchers think that the land the forest grew upon was the site of a “prehistoric Atlantis.”
