Ten years ago, wild grey partridges had nearly disappeared from their native home in Britain. Farmland and pesticides had damaged their habitat and food. The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust began a project to restore the partridge and other native birds to Hampshire county, and this year they’ve seen 100 partridges on their research land. To celebrate their success, researchers are creating a two-hour tour of their site. It will be led by one of their scientists.
