How Have Two Women US Army Generals Made History?
Lt. Col. Paula Lodi honors trailblazing military women.

In July 2019 Paula Lodi was promoted to brigadier general. Her older sister, Maria Lodi Barrett, was already a major general. Together they have made history. They are the first pair of sisters to achieve this rank. Women weren’t allowed into the military until 1901. That was through the Army Nursing Corp. Today, these women are heading up the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), and operations at the Office of Surgeon General.
