Paul Revere is most known for his famous midnight ride. But the American patriot was also an extraordinary entrepreneur. Revere was a successful silversmith at a young age. After a failed military career, he returned to the silver business. Revere eventually discovered new ways of producing metals on a large scale. His ability to roll sheet copper was particularly innovative, a “discovery” helped by his theft of British plans.
