Every August, Little League teams from across the United States and around the world arrive in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Their goal: Win the Little League World Series. In 2018, that honor went to a team from Hawaii. The squad of players ages 11 to 13 fought to win the championship, even as Hurricane Lane approached their home state. Upon defeating a team from Seoul, South Korea, in the title contest, the Honolulu-based team returned to Hawaii as heroes.
