New genetic evidence suggests that Sanskrit, a written language of Hinduism, evolved out of an earlier European language brought by migrants. Such a history has long been theorized, but new research seems to show a direct genetic link between modern Indians and ancient Europeans. If confirmed, it would be a major linguistic discovery.
