In 2012, Malala Yousafzai was shot by a Taliban gunman just because she was a girl going to school in Pakistan. Since then, Yousafzai, now 20, has become a global symbol for the education and women’s right movements. This summer, Yousafzai set out on a trip around the world. She’s calling in the Girl Power Tour. On the tour she will meet with girls and talk about the joys and challenges in gaining an education in their areas. Yousafzai hopes to bring light to the disparities between education systems around the world.
