Video games sometimes get a bad rap for being violent and addicting. But not all games are like that. The Games for Change Awards celebrate games that help people learn or raise awareness about social issues. One of the finalists is Tracking Ida, which takes players to the 1890s to learn about journalist Ida B. Wells’s work to end lynching. A finalist in another category is 1979 Revolution: Black Friday. This game teaches players about the revolt in Iran.
