When Beyoncé announced a one-hour television special, all fans knew about the show was its title, “Lemonade.” They got more than they bargained for when they tuned in Saturday night, as the special turned out to be an extended music video for Beyoncé’s latest album of the same name. The album was released as the special was airing. It was first available only on the Tidal streaming music service co-owned by Beyoncé’s husband, rapper Jay Z. The album soon was made available for purchase on iTunes as well. Beyoncé has made a habit of shocking the world with releases. In 2013, she released her self-titled album and a related video on iTunes with no prior announcement. And in February, she released the single “Formation,” one day before performing it during halftime of the Super Bowl. “Formation” is the final track on “Lemonade.” Fans can expect to hear many of the new tracks this summer in concert, as Beyoncé hits the road for a stadium world tour.
