International Space Station Welcomes Three New Astronauts

On December 15, a Russian rocket blasted off from a base in Kazakhstan. It was carrying a Russian cosmonaut and a British and an American astronaut to the International Space Station (ISS). Tim Peake is the first British astronaut to work on a program at the space station. He is also the first astronaut from the European Space Agency’s training program. They will be conducting experiments during their stay.
