Running back Jerome Bettis, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015, thinks only one running back has a chance to break Emmitt Smith’s rushing yards record, and it’s Adrian Peterson. Smith’s record is 18,355 yards. Peterson, 30, is more than 10,000 yards behind. Bettis himself retired in 2005 with the fifth-most rushing yards all-time, only since surpassed by LaDainian Tomlinson.
