In late June 2015, a female blue whale was found struggling to get back to the sea in Revdanda, India. The 42-foot (13 m) long and 22-ton (20 tonne) animal had gotten too close to shore. A crowd of fisherman, policemen, and locals rushed to help the blue whale get into deeper water, while also trying to avoid being crushed by the gigantic animal. In India, fishermen believe blue whales are their protectors. With bad water conditions, the crowd struggled for more than 10 hours before the blue whale finally gave up and took her last breath.
