Apple is bringing a traditional radio format to online radio. The company’s new Beats 1 online radio station launched at the end of June. Beats 1 is free and uses live DJs who introduce the songs. So it’s just like a traditional radio station, except it’s broadcast all around the world. The live format differs from other online radio services, such as Pandora and Spotify. Those services allow each user to customize their own station to fit their music tastes.
