The Ebola virus has killed over 2,600 people in West Africa, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This disease is still spreading in part because there is no vaccine. But scientists from the United States and the United Kingdom are rushing to develop one, and it is already being tested on volunteers to ensure it is safe. The next step will be to make sure it actually protects against the virus. If successful, this new vaccine could save many lives.
